Wilma "Arlene" Johnson, 87, Lee's Summit, Missouri, died Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Wilshire at Lakewood in Lee's Summit. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 27, 2022  at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, Missouri. Interment  in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO. Arlene was born May 22, 1935, to William and Hazel (Pickett) Jones in Butler, Missouri. After graduating from Northeast High School in 1953, she worked for various banks as a Bank Bookkeeper and Teller. On June 6, 1954, Arlene married Donald "Don" Dean Johnson in Kansas City, Missouri, at the Beaumont Baptist Church. Don and Arlene celebrated 59 years and 11 months of marriage before Don's passing. They have three children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Arlene was a student of family and genealogy. She was past Regent of Prairie Chapter DAR of Lee's Summit, MO, and the Chapter made her Honorary Regent for Life; past Chaplain of James Kearney Chapter of the Daughters of National Society of United Daughters of 1812; past member and secretary of the Mary Ball Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the Colonial Colonists; past member and treasurer of the Kansas City Chapter of the Colonial Dames XVII Century, as well as, member of the State and National Society's.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Don. She is survived by her 3 children: Ron Johnson of Fayetteville, AR; Cheryl (Johnson) Neeley and husband, Mark of Independence, MO; Monte Johnson and wife, Charlotte of Adrian, MO; eight grandchildren: La Chae, Luke, Nicole, Eileen, Samantha, Ashley, Anson, and Abbie; six great-grandchildren: Taylor, Jonathan, Evangeline, Eli, Opal and Olivia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
