Wilma Mae Engelhardt, 97, of Harrisonville, MO, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville. Graveside services will be held at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Wilma was born May 1, 1913 in Amoret, MO, the daughter of Vaughn Leon and Ella Salina (Jones) Coffin. She married Harold Franklin Engelhardt on June 13, 1931 in Butler, MO. They had four children, Wilbur Duane, Vonnie Powell, Harold Dean and Rickie Lee. Wilma lived near Butler until moving to the Harrisonville area in 1936. She was a homemaker. She loved being with family. She had worked at Bendix in Kansas City and at Ben Franklin Store in Harrisonville. She was a Baptist.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Harold on November 22, 1995, two sons, Wilbur Duane Engelhardt and Harold Dean Engelhardt, four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by two sons, Pat Engelhardt and his wife, Peggy, Osceola, MO and Rick Engelhardt and his wife, Wanda, Chilhowee, MO; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
