William Everett Timme, 82, Harrisonville, Missouri died Friday, March 30, 2012 at his home in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, with military honors provived by the Harrisonville Honor Guard. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Contributions may be made to Village Hospice, Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Bill was born August 21, 1929 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Fred and Stella (Keatley) Timme. He grew up in the Kansas City, Missouri area. While stationed in Edenton, North Carolina, as a U. S. Marine, he met Esther Mae Brabble and they married on September 17, 1949 in Edenton. They lived in the Kansas City area before moving to Harrisonville in 1971.
Bill worked for Bendix for 30 years before retiring in 1992 and was a member of the Local Union #314 Aerospace Workers. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Harrisonville.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one son, William "Clay" Timme, one daughter, Brenda "Sue" Parrish, two sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Esther, of the home; three sons, Wyatt Timme and wife, Betty, Denver, CO, Matt Timme and wife, Sandy, Harrisonville, MO and Steve Timme and wife, Susan, Bella Vista, Arkansas; one daughter, Robin Timme, Archie, MO; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
