William Walter Smith, 69, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Kansas City, Missouri. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Harrisonville VFW Building.
William was born August 24, 1945 in Independence, Missouri, the son of William E. and Lavinia Smith, Sr. He grew up in Independence and graduated from high school in Independence. William worked as a rural mail carrier for Martin City, Missouri, for 41 years before retiring. He loved to BBQ, attend and watch all sports, and enjoyed vacations in Colorado.
William was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sons, Madison Smith, Kansas City, Missouri and Aaron Corsiglia (Kathleen), Denver, Colorado; one daughter, Ayla King (Jeremy), Liberty, Missouri; his companion, Kathy Cunningham, Harrisonville, Missouri, and 3 grandchildren, Lily, Stella, and Jaxon.
