William Jesse Osborn, 89, La Feria, Texas, formerly of Grandview, Missouri died Monday, January 31, 2011 at his home in La Feria, Texas. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, Missouri. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Contributions may be made to Diabetes Awareness or Hospice.

Bill was born April 15, 1921 in Gardner, IL, the son of William J. and Bessie May (Shawgo) Osborn. He married Elenor Anderson on February 1, 1942. He was a WWII U. S. Army veteran. Bill was a mechanic and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 101. He enjoyed camping and fishing, traveling and hosting cookouts at his home.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elenor, on July 5, 1991, his second wife, Doralee in October, 2010, a daughter, Dorothy Roberts and brothers and sisters. He is survived by one daughter, Darlene Mawhinney, Bethel Park, PA; three brothers, Frank Osborn, Archie, MO, Dale Osborn and Harold Osborn; one sister, Ethel Huiatt; three grandchildren, Jeff Mawhinney, Bethel Park, PA, Lisa Neitch, Holden, MO and Carmen Bevel, Tyler, TX and five great-grandchildren.
