William "Bill" Daniel Fitzpatrick, 71, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Meadow View Health and Rehab in Harrisonville, MO. A graveside service was held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Pittsfield, Illinois. Bill was born on May 26, 1955, in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, to the late Dr. William D. and Rose (Lope) Fitzpatrick. He attended St. Brendan's Elementary School and graduated from Mexico High School in 1973. Bill later earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1977. Following graduation, he pursued a career that reflected his passion for connection and service, working with Columbia Photo and later at Reece Nichols Realty at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City.

A true lover of life, Bill cherished his time spent capturing the beauty of the world through his Leica photography. He was also a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, eagerly following their journeys through each season. Bill's spirit resonated with the people around him.

The family expresses profound gratitude to Kathleen Brock, whose friendship and kindness provided invaluable support during Bill's journey.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother, Michael Fitzpatrick. Bill is survived by his friend and former wife, Lisa Morgan; his sister, Kathy Isgrig, and brother-in-law, David, of Columbia, MO; his sister, Mary Schwend, and brother-in-law, Mike, of Kirksville, MO; eleven nieces and nephews: Erin (Mathew) Boden, Joseph (Kara) Schwend, Andrew (Tiffany) Schwend, Jenny (Bret) Wilson, Lee Ann (Andrew) Mawson, Sarah (Skylar) Leyden , Amy Mortenson, Scott (Maggie) Schwend, Emily (Austin) Baker, Matthew (Vanessa) Schwend, and Annie (Austin) Day.
