William "Bill" Clarence Butler, 84, Harrisonville, MO, died Friday, August 10, 2018 in Paola, KS. No services are scheduled at this time.
Bill was born April 28, 1934 in Clay County, MO, the son of Hyram and Nannie M. (Smith) Butler. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He married Shirley Ann Butler on March 5, 1955 in Butler, MO. He lived in Butler until moving to Harrisonville in 1963. Bill worked for Ross Truck Line as an over the road driver during the 1950's-1960's. From 1968-1973 he owned the Champlin Station in Harrisonville. After he sold the station, Bill owned and operated a saw mill in Harrisonville.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley on August 2, 2017, three brothers, Ira Butler, Paul Butler, Buford Butler, and three sisters, Bertha Woodrome, Rosalie Dotson, and Goldie Riddle. He is survived by three sons, William Brent Butler, Peculiar, MO, Reed Butler, Paola, KS, and Chris Butler, Raymore, MO; one sister, Mary Zellmer, Butler, MO; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
