William Nathan Beard, 36, Adrian, MO, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 in Adrian.  A memorial gathering was held Sunday, September 15, 2019, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, with cremation to follow.

William was born on March 24, 1983 to William and Joretta (Dobbs) Beard.  He attended Adrian Schools, graduating in 2001.  After graduating, he joined the Navy for four years as an ammunition specialist.  After returning home, he worked for Wal-Mart DC 6065 until his accident in 2009, leaving him paralyzed.

William, who was best known as Nathan, enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and mostly fishing, especially with his daughter and grandma Joann.  You would rarely ever see him without his fishing poles.  Nathan had the biggest heart for everyone, always doing something to help anyone out, no matter what time of day or how busy he was.  He loved singing and laughing and spending a lot of time with his family, especially his daughter, who meant the world to him.

Nathan is survived by his daughter, Ileynia Beard, his mother, Joretta Beard of Mountain Grove MO; his dad and step-mom, William and Deborah Beard of Adrian; four brothers, Ryan Beard and spouse, Lacie, Ava MO, Adam Owen, Mountain Grove MO, Christopher Kimbrough, San Antonio, TX, Kendal Kimbrough and spouse, Chrystal, Garden City MO; his sister, Jacky Whitehead, Adrian; his paternal grandmother, Myrtle Beard, Adrian; his maternal grandmother, Joann Tollison, Mountain Grove, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
