Warren C. Kisner Jr., (Warnie), 83, of Freeman, MO died Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO. (Cremation). Inurnment will be in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114.

Warnie was born October 18, 1928 on a farm east of Butler, MO. His parents were Warren C. and Georgia Margaret (Kipf) Kisner Sr. Warnie began his schooling at Orchard Grove, a small country school which he attended for several years until his parents sold the farm and moved to a farm between Archie and Drexel. He then attended Rocky Point School where he graduated from the 8th grade. For the next 3 years he attended Archie High School; then his parents bought a 380 acre farm south of Freeman. Warnie graduated from Freeman High School in May of 1947. During his high school years he spent his summers at wheat harvest in western Kansas. After high school graduation he worked for a short time for the M-K-T Railroad, Service Pipeline Company and continued farming with his father.

On December 23, 1949 he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Jean Koons and they would make their home in Freeman. Warnie was a member of Carpenters Union #777, Freeman Christian Church, where he served as a deacon, elder, church board president and treasurer at various times. He was elected as an alderman from Freeman's west ward for 2 terms under the administration of his son, Clint, when Clint was Mayor, and again served for 2 terms under his son-in-law, Mike Oyster's administration as Mayor.

Warnie was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Denton Kisner and Denton's wife, Margie. He is survived by his wife of 61 and a half years, Jean, of the home; two sons, Clint Kisner and his children, Jodie Nolen and husband, Matt and their small daughter, Wrigley Jo and Ryan Kisner, all of Kansas City, MO; a son, Wade Kisner and wife, Patty of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and their 3 sons, Tyler and Travis Kisner of North Liberty, Iowa and Will Kisner of Chicago, Illinois; two daughters, Stacy Jo and husband, Michael Oyster of Freeman and their children, Bethany Villaverde and her husband, Barry, their sons, Brandon, Luke, Jase and Jett of Belton, MO and Reid Oyster and daughter, Elsie of Kansas City, MO; Warnie's youngest daughter, Kristin Ann Guier and her children, Kylie Nicole of Overland Park, KS, Chelsie Leann Eaves and husband, Jared and Blake Warren of Freeman, MO.

Warnie was a loyal friend, a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. The lives he touched throughout his own life were truly blessed and he will be remembered and missed by many.
