Wanda Mae Walters, 94, Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Archie, Missouri, died Saturday June 23, 2012 at Garden Valley Manor in Kansas City. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, (mda.org).

Wanda was born October 22, 1917 in Archie, Missouri, the daughter of Edgar Allen and Oneta Luella (Swarens) Cullison. She worked as a hair dresser at the Muehlebach Hotel in Kansas City for 30 years. She lived in Kansas City for many years before moving back to Archie in 1981.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ray Johnson in 1951 and her second husband, Edward John Walters on November 23, 1995. She is survived by cousins, Virginia R. Harris, Kansas City, Missouri and Cleo W. Ward, Las Vegas, Nevada; one stepson, Don Walters, Charleston, South Carolina; one stepdaughter, Linda Ukraine, Aspen, Colorado; one sister-in-law, Nancy Minnotte, Hartsdale, New York; 4 grandsons, Chad, Gus, Mike and Mason; other cousins and relatives and friends.
