Wanda J. Stephens, 80, Harrisonville, MO, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Cass Medical Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Friends may call from 10:00-10:30 AM Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Brady Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.

Wanda was born July 26, 1928 in Linn County, MO, the daughter of Cecil and Cathryn (Abel) Shaul. She was a graduate of Liberty High School. Wanda married Louis Stephens in 1965 and they then moved to Harrisonville.

Wanda was the original bookkeeper for Tractor Parts and later for The Family Center in Harrisonville. Previously, she had worked for G & G Tractor in Harrisonville. Wanda was also a local Avon representative for many years. Wanda was a member of the Harrisonville First Baptist Church and was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star in Adrian, MO.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Louis, of the home; one brother, Junior Shaul, Brookfield, MO; a cousin, Jewell McGee, Lindale, GA; a brother-in-law, Donald Stephens, Harrisonville and a host of nephews, nieces and many friends.
