Wanda Kay (Elliott) Pittman, of Harrisonville, Missouri, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the age of 76. A Celebration of Life was held at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO, on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Wanda was born on May 20, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Otto and Rosemary (Whitworth) Elliott. She grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Southeast High School, carrying with her a love for family, a generous heart, and a spirit full of kindness and adventure.On May 17, 1969, Wanda married the love of her life, Gary Lee Pittman. They shared 52 wonderful years together, traveling the country during Gary’s career as an over-the-road truck driver and creating countless cherished memories. The couple retired in 2008, after a life full of shared adventures, laughter, and love. Wanda and Gary enjoyed many family moments, from weekends at I-70 Speedway to relaxing at the lake.

Wanda worked at Hallmark Cards and later at Continental Insurance, but her greatest focus was always on her family. She loved traveling, shopping, and simply being with those she held dear. For the past 16 years, Wanda made her home in Harrisonville, MO, where she continued to enjoy time with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons: Troy Pittman (Cathy) of Archie, MO; and Tony Pittman (Stacy) of Peculiar, MO; her brother, Dale Elliott; her sisters, Jenny Hughes and Marilyn Darnell; her seven grandchildren: Rebecca Manicone, Darian Saunders, Walker Pittman, Shelby Graham, Alex Pittman, Remington Pittman, and Chase Pittman; and her four great-grandchildren: Kyle Paige, Bristol Saunders, McKenna Saunders, and Teagan Manicone. Wanda’s love and warmth were at the center of her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Wanda will be remembered for her kind heart, adventurous spirit, and the love she shared so freely. She will continue to live on in the cherished memories of her family and friends.
