Wanda Lee Culpepper, 94, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at her home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Interment at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Croix Hospice. 

Wanda was born on December 31, 1931, in Fremont, MO, a daughter of Johnny and Leona (Koogler) Adair. She spent her early years in Van Buren, MO, and was united in marriage to George Washington Culpepper on March 8, 1947, in Van Buren. Wanda and George made their home in Kansas City, MO, for a few years before moving to the Harrisonville area in 1958.

Wanda worked in the shipping department at Peterson Mfg. in Grandview, MO, for 37 years before her retirement. Never one to sit still, she became a greeter at the Harrisonville Wal-Mart for another 15 years before retiring again. Wanda was a member of Crossroads Assembly Church in Harrisonville.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, George, on June 22, 1980; her son, Dennis Culpepper; a great-grandson, Clive Culpepper; and her parents. She is survived by a son, Roger Culpepper, and wife, Denise, Harrisonville, MO; her sister, Anna Landis, Van Buren, MO; daughter-in-law, Johnna Culpepper, Harrisonville, MO; five grandchildren: Justin (Jessica) Culpepper, Michael (Leslie) Culpepper, Chad (Emma) Culpepper, Rachael (Cody) Lindsay, and Andrea (Garrett) Widner; and 15 great-grandchildren.
