Virginia Elizabeth Unnewehr, 86, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Meadow View of Harrisonville. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.

Virginia was born March 2, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Orville and Alice R. (Bowden) Perrine. She married Harold Unnewehr in August, 1983. Virginia moved to Harrisonville 60 years ago from Kansas City, Kansas. She worked as a safety deposit box bookkeeper for Grandview Bank, Midwest Bank, and Truman Bank, and was a member and past president of the State Safety Deposit Box Association.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Pamela, one grandson, Robbie, and a sister, Dorothy Smart. She is survived by her husband, Harold, of the home; one son, Wayne Mance, Garden City, Missouri, and a former daughter-in-law, Joyce Mance, Harrisonville, Missouri; one daughter, Patty Doyle and her husband, Dennis, Kansas City, Kansas; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
