Virginia Mae Rusow, 77, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Appleton City Manor in Appleton City, Missouri. A Memorial Service were held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO.

Virginia was born on July 28, 1947, to Barry Jackson "Jack" Monteer and Ethel M. Vansel in Cole Camp, MO, where she was the middle of 5 children in the family. She married George Edward "Eddie" Rusow Jr. on April 04, 1964 in Burdette, MO, and to this union they had four children; sons: Jeremy and James, and daughters: Carla and Patricia. Virginia worked for over 20 years at Folgers Coffee in Kansas City before retiring. She loved to crotchet and spend time making anything crafty that she could. Even though she did not have a green thumb she loved having flowers. Spending time outside was one of her favorite things to do and you could often find her on her porch swing. She was a loving mother and a wonderful grandmother.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, James Rusow; brothers: Paul Monteer and J.B. Monteer; and sisters: Wanda Wurtz and Judy Burgin. She is survived by her son: Jeremy (Nichole) Rusow; daughters: Carla (Mark) Hawkins and Patricia (John) Brewer; grandchildren: Amanda, Dustin, Joshua, Jacob, Hannah, and Mason; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
