Virginia "Ginger" Lou Milner, 76, Harrisonville, MO died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 1:30-3:00. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Ginger was born August 22, 1940 in Gunn City, MO, the daughter of Melvin and Ardith (Babylon) Snow. She was a 1958 graduate of Harrisonville High School.
Ginger was an avid golfer and never passed an opportunity to travel and play somewhere new. Her favorite trips were to Arizona with friends for the winter. Ginger was a former president of the Twin Pines Ladies Golf Association and served on the Board of Directors of Twin Pines Golf Club. She also enjoyed knitting and making blankets for her friends and family.
Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Moore on June 1, 2011, one son, Bret D. Milner, and one brother, Melvin D. "Shorty" Snow. She is survived by one son, Scott Milner and his wife, Marcia, Harrisonville, MO; three grandchildren, Ashley Shrout, Lynsey McNeal (Mitchell), and Lauren Peterson (Derrick); four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Trenton, Brodie, and Kennady; caregiver and friend, Lynn Letzig; and many close friends and family members.
