Virginia Fae (Yocum) Kreisel, 89, of Raymore, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. A Memorial Service was held Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, MO.
Virginia was born March 3, 1935 in Clinton, MO, a daughter of Clinton and Flossy (Shelton) Perkey. She was a lifelong Cass County resident, living in Peculiar, MO, and Raymore, MO. "Jenny" was united in marriage to Earl Lee Yocum in 1953 and to this union three children were born: Steve, Rex, and Treca. Earl preceded her in death in 1973, and she married Glenn Kreisel in 1998.
Virginia was always busy, and had worked for Dayco Mailing Service, Sears, and in the Production Department at Marion Laboratories in Kansas City before her retirement. She was a dedicated "Winter Texan" for many years, and enjoyed country dancing, bowling, corn hole, traveling, and camping.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Earl Yocum in 1973, and Glenn Kreisel in 1998; and her son, Rex Yocum, in 2015. She is survived by her son, Steve Yocum, of Raymore, MO; her daughter, Treca Snyder, of Lone Jack, MO; five grandchildren: Josh Yocum, Melissa Wheeler, Jenny Sherrick, Trisha Concepcion and Payden Snyder; six great-grandchildren: Chandler Wheeler, Lillien Sherrick, David Sherrick, Gisela Gates, Jesse Snyder, and Scarlet Snyder; and many other relatives and friends.
