Virginia Ailleen Brazeal, 82, Peculiar, Missouri, died Friday, September 26, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Virginia was born February 25, 1932 in Squires, Missouri, the daughter of Jesse Lee and Lula Grace (Agee) Wise. She attended Frye Rural School in Squires and was a graduate of Ava High School. She married Ernest L. Brazeal on September 7, 1949 in Nevada, Missouri.

Virginia had lived in Squires, Kansas City, Kansas and Adrian before moving to Peculiar just three years ago. She had worked as a certified nursing assistant for several years. She was a Baptist.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ernest, on June 10, 2011. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth L. Brazeal, Kingsville, Missouri and Steve Brazeal, Latour, Missouri; four daughters, Susanne Brazeal, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Joyce Hutchison, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Brenda Crim, Edgerton, Kansas and Juanita Koehn, Peculiar, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
