Obituary

Virginia Louise Argabright, 91, of Archie, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri. Funeral services were held  Friday, March 26, 2021, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, Missouri.  Burial  in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Contributions may be made to the Archie United Methodist Church, Archie, MO.

Virginia was born December 9, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri, the youngest of four children of George Harry and Virginia Louise (Bentrup) Kalen. She grew up in Kansas City and was a 1946 graduate of Northeast High School.  She received her B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Missouri.

Virginia was united in marriage to Edwin Eugene Argabright, October 9, 1957 in Kansas City. They made their home in Archie, where Edwin was already living, and teaching school. She worked as an accountant for Deems Farm Equipment in Butler, MO from 1977 until her retirement in 2014. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority while at MU, and a was a charter member of the local Beta Sigma Phi Chapter in Archie. Virginia was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Archie, and a member of the Priscilla Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edwin on August 3, 2000, and three older brothers.  Virginia is survived by a son, Alan, and wife Beth Argabright, Archie, a daughter, Ann Menzel, and significant other, Tony Renner, Jefferson, Iowa, four grandchildren, Jeremy, Jennifer, Janelle, and Nicole, and six great-grandchildren.
