Velda Marie Jensen, 92, Oak Grove, MO, died Sunday, January 13, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO. Services 1:30 PM Wednesday, January 16 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, MO with visitation from 1:00-1:30 PM at the chapel. Burial in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, MO.
Velda was born November 1, 1915 in Green Forest, Arkansas. Velda lived in Lee's Summit, MO before moving to Tarsney Lakes, MO in 1952. She had worked in the laundry department for the Harry S. Truman Neurological Center in Kansas City, MO during the late 1960's through mid-1970's.
Velda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vincent Samuel Jensen in 1967. She is survived by two sons, Joseph Jensen, Oak Grove, MO and Danny Jensen, Unionville, MO; one brother, Bud Dooling, Wichita, KS; one sister, Wanda Lee Carpenter, Wichita, KS; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
