Una Dell Mayfield, 90, Adrian, MO, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Adrian Manor. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital.

Una Dell was born November 22, 1926 in Burdette, MO, the daughter of Alfred A. and Gertie M. (Cox) Ferguson. She grew up in the Burdette area and attended Burdette School. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1943. She attended CMSTC and taught one term at Burdette School. She married Clifford Mayfield on February 23, 1946 in Olathe, KS. They lived in Kansas City, MO prior to buying a farm at Burdette where she lived until 1995, when she purchased a home in Adrian, MO.

Una Dell was a longtime member of the Burdette Baptist Church and also the First Baptist Church in Adrian. She was faithful and active in her church as long as her health permitted. She was a Sunday school teacher and did numerous other services for her Lord in His church.

Una Dell was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford on October 24, 1984; her parents; two brothers, Gilbert "Gib" and Gerald "Fergie"; four sisters, Crystal, Sylvia, Dorothy and Doris; and one great-grandchild, Alecia Johnson. She is survived by two sons, Terry Ray Mayfield (Diana), Drexel, MO and Larry Dale Mayfield, Rich Hill, MO; one daughter, Sharon Lavonne Houchen, Flemington, MO; one sister, Anna Belle Griner, Belton, MO; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews..
