Tonya Doraine (Craighead) Bareli, 37, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 2:00-3:00.

Tonya was born May 6, 1978 in Hurst, Texas, the daughter of Calvin Wesley and Linda Gay (Walker) Craighead. She was a 1996 graduate of Middle Park High School in Granby, Colorado.

Tonya had a beautiful soul. She wanted to "change the world with more LOVE and less hate". She made gift packs for the homeless, helped the local food pantry and made notes of encouragement for the elderly. She was always helping others, putting their needs ahead of her own. Tonya was an artist and poet who cherished her friends and loved her family, especially her two children.

Tonya was preceded in death by her father, Wesley. She is survived by a son, Givon Wesley Jasper and a daughter, Madison Jean Jasper, both of Joliet, Illinois; her mother, Linda Craighead (Bob Sloggett), Harrisonville, Missouri; sister, Lisa Dillon (Robert), Rogers, Arkansas; other siblings, Ame' Lansdown, Mission, Kansas, Christina Wondra, Olathe, Kansas, Geoffery Sloggett, Kansas City, Missouri; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
