Tina Marie Mattingley, 55, Garden City, MO, was called home on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs, MO. Celebration of Life services were held Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Eagle Creek Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Eagle Creek Church Building Fund, Harrisonville.
Tina was born September 17, 1963 in Kansas City, MO, daughter of Benny M. and Kitty Jane (Briden) Cole. She was a 1981 graduate of Harrisonville High School and a lifelong Cass County resident. Tina held many secretary and banking positions, but her favorite job was The Big Boss at Mattingley Masonry. Tina married her best friend, Jerry Mattingley on July 16, 1993 in Austin, MO. They blended their families together and added to the bunch. On October 17, 2015, Tina was baptized and turned her life over to her Savior, Jesus.
Tina was known for her fearlessness, orneriness, and strong fight. While battling for the last 5 years, she has shown us all how to live. Whether an errand that turned into an all day event or a spur of the moment trip across the country, Tina was always ready for an adventure. Her favorite place was surrounded by her loved ones or behind Jerry on the motorcycle.
Tina was preceded in death by her father, Ben Cole, and a sister, Julie Lewis. She is survived by her husband, Jerry, of the home; three sons, Matt Mattingley, Garden City, MO, Jake Mattingley (Ginger), Pleasanton, KS, and J. D. Mattingley, Hickman Mills, MO; one daughter, Alicia Cornell (Josh), Archie, MO; her mother, Kitty Cole Fountain (Ron), Deepwater, MO; one sister, Lynn Lee (Mark), Broken Arrow, OK; brother-in-law, Jackson Lewis, Raymore, MO; step-sister, Jennifer Zamudio (Cesar); step-brother, Ken Fountain; three granddaughters, Lauren, Logan, Emi, and one grandson, Kolton; cherished nieces and nephews; adored family, many treasured friends and her pets.
