Timothy D. Boos, Sr., 69, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, MO. Funeral services were held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Burial in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, MO.

Timothy was born on August 30, 1956, in Kansas City, MO, a son of Louis and Dorothy (Urton) Boos. He was a lifelong Peculiar resident and a 1975 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. He worked as a Firefighter and EMT at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, MO, for 25 years before his retirement. After retirement, Tim worked at Catalent Pharma Solution in Kansas City in the shipping department.

Timothy was united in marriage to Cheryl Ward on June 23, 2001, in Peculiar, MO, and together they continued to make their home in Peculiar. He was a cowboy at heart, loved his horses, and enjoyed attending rodeos all over the country. Timothy also enjoyed traveling and camping. Timothy and Cheryl were both members of the Trinity Independent Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Ervin Loyd; a daughter, Nancy Monasmith; and a son, Edward Blackburn, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; a son, Timothy Boos, Jr., Independence, MO; two daughters: Susan Boos, Richmond, MO; and Amy Blackburn, Hamilton, MO; a brother, Mike Boos, Peculiar, MO; two sisters: Michelle Kunze, Omaha, NE; and Deborah Gudde, Independence, MO; 27 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
