Thomas Raymond Arnold, 77, Adrian, MO, died Monday, November 12, 2007 at his home. Funeral services 2:00 PM Friday, November 16 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Adrian. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Visitation 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at the Atkinson Chapel, Adrian. Contributions to the Calvary Baptist Church College Fund or the Amazing Grace Baptist Camp.

Thomas Raymond Arnold was born November 8, 1930 in Center, MO, the fifth child of James Francis and Mary Lillie (Bailey) Arnold. Tom was united in marriage on July 16, 1951 to Joyce Arlene Watts at the Adrian, MO First Baptist Church parsonage. To this union seven children were born and one adopted daughter. Tom and Joyce were foster parents for over 20 years.

Tom was a retiree of General Motors Leeds Plant in Kansas City, MO. He was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Adrian, where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, song leader and treasurer. He loved to fish, travel, sing, talk, visit, play games and spoil his grandkids and great-grandkids. Tom was always ready to share his faith with anyone who happened to stop by. It was important to him for everyone to know how to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three half-sisters; one son and one great-grandson. He is survived by his wife, Joyce and adopted daughter, Brenda Sue, of the home; children, Thomas E. Arnold and his wife, Pat, Susan Davis and her husband, Doug, John Arnold and his wife, Debbie, Brenda Ortiz and her husband, Pablo, all of Adrian, MO; Beverly Foster, Passaic, MO, Phillip Arnold, Archie, MO; 26 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters.
