Thomas Granvil Perdee, Jr., 78, Garden City, Missouri, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at KC Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in Lee's Summit Cemetery, Lee's Summit, Missouri. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Thomas was born February 17, 1938 in Lee's Summit, Missouri, the son of Thomas Granvil and Laura (Hartsaw) Perdee, Sr. He grew up on the family farm near Lee's Summit and was a 1956 graduate of Lee's Summit High School. Thomas joined the U.S. Navy right after high school and when he returned home, he went to work for Southwestern Bell where he worked for 40 years before retiring in 2000.
Thomas had lived in Raymore, Missouri from 1963-1980 before moving to Garden City in 1980. He was a 50-year member of Summit Lodge #263, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Ararat Shrine and Eastern Star, Lee's Summit. He was a member of the R. L. D. S. in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Thomas is survived by three sons, Thomas G. Perdee, III (Becky), Belton, Missouri, Tim L. Perdee, Hamilton, Montana, and Travis C. Perdee, Belton, Missouri; one daughter, Tanya Williamson (Fred), Cleveland, Missouri; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
