Thomas Harold Frazier Jr., 87, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on April 9, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. In celebration of Tom's life, a visitation was held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville,folllowed by the funeral service. Burial at Jolly Bethel Cemetery in Pierce City, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to Jolly Bethel Cemetery.
Born on June 28, 1938, in Adrian, MO, to Thomas Harold and Ruth Winnonah (Lewis) Frazier, Tom's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to family, work, and community. In 1954, Tom and his family moved to Harrisonville, MO, where he attended Harrisonville High School, proudly graduating with the Class of 1956. He furthered his education at William Jewell College, where his talents on the football field shone brightly, demonstrating both teamwork and leadership that would follow him throughout his life. He also found community as a member of Phi Gamma Delta.
After completing his studies, Tom became a distinguished millwright, serving in the power generation industry as a valued member of Local Millwright #1529. His commitment to his craft was paralleled only by his love for his family. On August 17, 1963, he married the love of his life, Rachel May Cummins, in Pierce City, MO, forming a partnership that would inspire and uplift all who knew them.
A proud veteran, Tom served in the Air Force, and his service to his country exemplified his dedication to the values he held dear: honor, duty, and love for his fellow man. His gentle strength and kind spirit touched the lives of many, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry Frazier; and his sister, Zelda Pulliam. He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Frazier, of the home; his son, Craig Frazier, of Kansas City, MO; his daughter, Betsy Frazier, of Kansas City, MO; his brother, Robert "Bob" Frazier, of Overland Park, KS; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
