Thomas Leroy Bohrn, affectionately known as Bop, to his family, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019. Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
Bop was born June 16, 1937 in Richards, MO to Bernice (Simmons) and Charley Bohrn. He loved dogs, animals, cookies, and his family. He grew up in Milo, MO with his beloved childhood dogs, Bingo and Dudderchud. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1955. Despite suffering from constant motion sickness, he served in the Coast Guard from 1959 to 1963. He was a longtime employee of Bendix.
Bop was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Mayfield, a brother, William Bohrn, and a son, David White. He is survived by a daughter, Karen Parks, Holden, MO; two sons, Steven White, Tecumseh, NE, and John White, Las Vegas, NV; sister, Maggie Garrett, Grandview, MO; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
