Theron H. Deshazer, 82, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Crown Care in Harrisonville. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial  in Oakland Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO. 

Theron was born on July 22, 1943, in Harrisonville, MO, to Theron Omer and Edra Irene (Zeller) Deshazer. Theron's journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and community. He married the love of his life, Margie Elizabeth Smith, on November 30, 1962, in Kansas City, MO. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. 

A proud sheet metal worker, Theron began his apprenticeship in 1961 and became a valued member of Sheetmetal Workers #2, dedicating over four decades to his craft. He owned and operated Deshazer Heating & Cooling until his retirement in 2007, touching the lives of many in his community with his expertise and kindness. 

In addition to his career, Theron was deeply committed to service. He served as the sexton of Oakland Cemetery, ensuring that it remained a place of peace and remembrance for many. His passion for guiding the youth was evident in his role as a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 3 in Harrisonville, encouraging countless young people to grow and thrive.

Theron was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Deshazer, and his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Grant; son, Shawn Deshazer; sister, Loretta Barnard; granddaughter, Taren Michelle Grant; and many extended family and friends.
