Teresa "Terry" Lee Bluel, 78, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Memorial services were held at  the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Memorial donations should be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org in Teresa's memory.

Terry was born on November 12, 1946, in Grandview, MO, to Edward Alan and Alice (Browning) Neal. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a beloved friend to many. Terry graduated from Grandview High School with the Class of 1964 and continued her education at Longview Community College, earning two Associate's Degree at the same time. Her commitment to education extended to her career, where she devoted herself to the Grandview School District. Beginning as a paraprofessional at an elementary school, Terry's unwavering dedication to students and staff led her to roles as a secretary at the middle school and ultimately to the IT Help Desk at Central Office, where she served until her retirement in 2015.

On November 25, 1964, Terry married her soulmate, Richard Bluel, whom she was introduced to on a blind date by their mutual friend, Dan Roberts. Together they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Their love and partnership were a shining example to their family and friends. Terry was the proud mother of Nicholas, Heather, Nathan, and Neal, and she found immense joy in her role as a grandmother.

Known for her green thumb, Terry found peace and happiness in her garden, nurturing plants as she nurtured her family. She was also a passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan, often reliving their Super Bowl victories, which brought her great joy and excitement. A woman of strong faith, Terry found strength in her beliefs and kept them close to her heart, even in her later years. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, reminding us of the importance of family, love, and laughter.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carla Corwin; and her sister-in-law, Connie Neal. She is survived by her husband, Richard Bluel; her children: Nicholas (Talia) Bluel, Heather (John) Silva, Nathan (Kelly) Bluel, and Neal (Katrina) Bluel; 11 grandchildren; her brother, Mike Neal; her brother-in-law, Robert Corwin; and many extended family and friends.
