Susan B. Newell, 45, Peculiar, MO, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville, MO. A visitation will be held from 7:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, December 19 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Cremation.
Susan was born June 3, 1962 in Houston, TX, the daughter of Jewell W. and Gloria J. (Mosher) Mitchell. She married Larry Dewayne Newell on August 23, 1981. She had lived in Harrisonville and Garden City, MO before moving to Peculiar.
Susan worked as a groomer for Pryor Downs Horse Training Facility in Pleasant Hill, MO. She loved her animals, dogs, cats and horses.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Larry, of the home; three sons, Matt Newell, Peculiar, MO, Sam Newell, Harrisonville, MO and Joseph Newell, Clinton, MO; one daughter, Sarah Kiefer, Grandview, MO and three grandchildren.
