Steven "Steve" Lee Bowlby, 51, Harrisonville, MO, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. (Cremation to follow). Steve was born October 29, 1959 in Ottawa, KS, the son of Bob and Mary (Timblin) Bowlby. He had lived in Ottawa, KS, East Lynne, MO, Creighton, MO before moving to Harrisonville.

Steve was a member of Freedom Point Baptist Church in Garden City, MO. One of his favorite pastimes was karaoke singing and often entertained the residents at Golden Years Care Center with his "Steve's Sensation" singing.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Bob Bowlby, his mother and stepfather, Mary and Robert Brewster, one brother, Randy Bowlby and one sister, Angela Bowlby. He is survived by two sons, Aaron McCubbin, Adrian, MO and Lonnie Quick, Lebanon, MO; one brother, David Bowlby, Ottawa, KS; three sisters, Debbie Gilbert and her husband, David, Archie, MO, Robin Kirk and her husband, Randy, Archie, MO and Diane Bowlby, Ottawa, KS and many nephews and nieces.
