Steven Dean Bishop, 60, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Inurnment will be in Glenwild Cemetery in Cleveland, Missouri.

Steven was born November 9, 1952 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of Harold and Dorothy (Hopper) Bishop. He was a 1970 graduate of Cass-Midway High School. He was a lifelong Cass County area resident. Steven had worked for Mid-America Graphics in Harrisonville and for Schmidt & Klaus Florist in Kansas City, Missouri.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Bishop. He is survived by one son, Christopher Bishop, Independence, Missouri; two brothers, Phillip Bishop, Sedalia, Missouri and Terry Bishop, Drexel, Missouri; two sisters, Debbie Hargis and her husband, Jeff, Cleveland, Missouri and Kim Steele, Belton, Missouri and three grandchildren.
