Stephen "Steve" Kent Friedrich, 57, Harrisonville, Missouri died Monday, February 21, 2011 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the chapel.

Steve was born April 23, 1953 in Harrisonville, MO, the son of Harold and Barbara (Morris) Friedrich. He had lived in Harrisonville most of his life and was a 1971 graduate of Harrisonville High School. He operated Steve's Standard Station in Harrisonville.

Steve married Heather Toman on Halloween, October 31, 2010. He was an over-the-road truck driver for eight years while living in Texas. He worked for Heritage Residential after moving back to Harrisonville. Steve was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Friedrich, Harrisonville, MO; two sons, Derek Friedrich and his wife, Danielle, Pleasant Hill, MO and William David Willman, Annapolis, Maryland; one daughter, Lori Johnson and her husband, Scott, Harrisonville, MO; his father, Harold Friedrich, Harrisonville, MO; his mother, Barbara Glasgow and her husband, Vance, Reeds Spring, MO; two brothers, Scott Friedrich and his wife, Leigh Ann, Harrisonville, MO and Stan Friedrich, Conroe, TX; one sister, Shelly Noe and her husband, Tim, Cape Coral, Florida and four grandchildren, Amanda, Jonathan, Hudson and Sophia Johnson.
