Stella Jane Lester, 90, Belton, MO, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Stella was born June 8, 1920 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Jess and Stella J. (Turner) Nash. She was a 1937 graduate of Ruskin High School. She had lived in Kansas City and Harrisonville, MO most of her life. She married David Franklin Lester on August 17, 1947.

Stella was a member of the First Bible Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, MO and she and David were sponsors of Youth for Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, David on July 26, 2008. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Jones and her husband, Richard, Overland Park, KS; and Deborah Taylor and her husband, Travis, Belton, MO and two brothers, James Nash and Jack Nash, both of Cassville, MO; two sisters, Shirley Knight, Kansas City, MO and Frances Tieman, Tulsa, OK; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and her loving friend and neighbor, Virginia DuPont, Belton, MO.
