Stella "Lucille" Helmick, 79, Harrisonville, MO died July 30, 2009 at Golden Years Care Facility. Lucille was born March 8, 1922 in Harrisonville, MO the daughter of John Charles and Mary Ellen (Atkinson) Hiler. She married Fred George Helmick on December 22, 1938 in Olathe, KS.

Lucille attended Brush College Country School and Harrisonville High School.

Lucille was a homemaker but had worked at the Refrigerated Locker Service in Harrisonville, MO as a meat wrapper. Lucille was a member of the Harrisonville First Baptist Church. Lucille was devoted to her home and was a avid gardener and loved her flowers.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Fred on March 30, 2007, her parents and 3 sisters, Laura Marie Hiler, Nadine Wood and Dorothy Clapper. She is survived by two daughters, Helen Louise Cobb and her husband, Wayne,and Janice Marie Harper and her husband, Jack, all of Harrisonville, MO; 1 granddaughter, Kathy Lambertz and her husband Traey and two great-granddaughters, Ashley and Erin Lambertz all of Harrisonville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Lucille Helmick are 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2009 with a visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, MO.
