Stanley "Stan" Lynn Trichel, 70, of Archie, Missouri, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, November 28, 2025, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Interment  at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Stan's memory to the family in care of the funeral home.

Born on November 9, 1955, in Decatur, Illinois, to James and Virginia (Newberry) Trichel, Stan lived a life full of love, laughter, and hard work, leaving behind a legacy cherished by all who knew him. Stan married the love of his life, Joyce Durbin, on July 8, 1977, in Illinois. Together they built a nurturing home, first in Arizona, until June of 1995, then relocating to Harrisonville, MO, where they lived until they ultimately found their final home in Austin, MO. Stan's devotion to his family remained unwavering throughout his life, and his warmth and kindness touched the hearts of many.

A proud truck driver for local transport, Stan spent many years with Ferrell Gas in Greenwood, MO, before retiring in 2009. His tales of the road often brought laughter to gatherings, reflecting his adventurous spirit and his deep connections to those he met along his journeys. A special thank you to Dr. Montgomery Roberts DO, Dr. Christine Cook, and the ICU nurses at AdventHealth for the exceptional care that they gave to Stan.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David; and his sister, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Trichel, of the home; his son, Eric (Heather) Trichel, of Effingham, Kansas; his daughters: Tiffany (Walter) Mochama of Edwardsville, KS; and Amanda Trichel; his brothers: Jim Trichel of Decatur, IL; and Steve (Regina) Trichel of Decatur, IL; eight grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
