Shirley Jean Crook, 79, Adrian, MO, died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Adrian Manor in Adrian.  Graveside services were held at  Carpenter Cemetery in Chilhowee, MO.  Memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Care Hospice.

Shirley was born February 14, 1939 in Leeton, MO,  a daughter of Clarence and Sylvia (Current) Stewart.  She married Robert Leroy Crook on June 4, 1965 at Bro. Joe Brewster's house.  Shirley worked for Little Shirt Co. in Freeman for 18 years.  She had worked at Wal-Mart in Paola, KS in the women's department and at Dollar General in Louisburg, KS.

Shirley had lived in Cleveland, MO before moving to Drexel in 2016.  She was a member of the Freeman Baptist Church.  Shirley was a big Elvis fan and had made three trips to Graceland.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Leroy Crook, Drexel, MO; two daughters, Dee Baker (Richard Manns), Hillsdale, KS, and Peggy Moore (Dennis), Ballard, MO; one sister, Verna Gunn, Windsor, MO; five grandchildren, Jessica Crawford (Matt), Stephen Shoaf (Nikki), Bobby Baker, Joseph Moore, Katrina Moore, and five great-grandchildren.
