Sheryl Ann Powers, 48, Kansas City, Missouri, died Monday, October 6, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri with visitation from 2:00-3:00. Burial will be in Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society.
Sheryl was born March 20, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri. She had worked at Price Chopper in Lee's Summit, Missouri in the bakery for 29 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Sheryl is survived by one son, Michael Powers; her mother, Carol Courtney of Windsor, Missouri; two brothers, Doug Courtney of Raymore, Missouri and Rodney Courtney of Saginaw, Texas; one sister, Tamara Denham of Belton, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Riley, Trenton, Kylie, Haley, Matthew, and several nieces and nephews.
