Shelby Dean Steward, 67, Clinton, MO, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at his son's home in Harrisonville. Graveside services with inurnment will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 25, 2008 in Clinton Memory Gardens, Clinton, MO.
Shelby was born September 25, 1940 in Clinton, MO, the son of Hershel Walter and Opal May (Sheek) Steward. He was self employed as a carpet layer. He was a lifelong resident of Clinton, MO.
Shelby was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Shelby Steward, Jr. He is survived by three sons, Larry Steward, Harrisonville, MO, Donald Steward, Linn Creek, MO and Monte Hodges, Clinton, MO; one daughter, Starla Hodges, Hermitage, MO; two brothers, Clifford Steward, Clinton, MO and Jim Steward, Kansas City, MO; one sister, Jerry Johnson, Clinton, MO; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
