Shelby Kay Admire, 21, Cleveland, Missouri, died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with cremation to follow. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 23 at the Atkinson Funeral Home. Shelby was born October 20, 1994 in Clinton, Missouri, the daughter of Nikki (Smith) Admire. She was a 2013 graduate of Cass-Midway High School and was currently attending UCM in Warrensburg, Missouri, studying radiology.


Shelby worked part time at Belton Regional Medical Center in the E.R. Admitting Department. She was a driven young woman and received excellent grades. She was a very generous, kind, and caring person who liked helping people. She helped her "mama" out a lot. She loved hunting with her fiancé, Derrin Coxe, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved her cats and her dogs.

Shelby was preceded in death by one aunt, Vicky Carmichael, and her maternal grandparents, J. W. and Kay Smith. She is survived by her mother and father, Nikki and Ken Hurlburt, Cleveland, Missouri; her fiancé, Derrin Coxe, Belton, Missouri; two sisters, Sydney, Admire and Shayley Hurlburt, both of Cleveland, Missouri; several aunts and uncles, Sherry Chatfield (Lowell), Cleveland, Penny Tarwater (Mark), Lee's Summit, Missouri, Rod Smith (Jill), Cleveland, John Carmichael, Overland Park, Kansas; paternal grandparents, Mark and Susan Bochantin, Gwinn, Michigan; paternal great-grandparents, Lawrence and Robbie Bochantin, Alamo, Texas; her Godmother, Faith Sherman (Billy), Freeman, Missouri; other aunts and uncles, many cousins, other relatives and friends.
