Scott was born June 26, 1966 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Vernon R. and Glenda A. (Breshears) Everly. He was a 1984 graduate of Cass-Midway High school and a lifelong resident of Peculiar, MO. Scott married Julie Lynn Brown on June 20, 1992 in Las Vegas, NV.
Scott worked alongside his Dad on the farm from the time he was big enough to lift his first roll of sod. Last fall he harvested his last crop of soybeans; riding in his combine until he was too tired for the day, but got up each morning ready to go again. Anyone that knew him, knew his love for Peterbilts and John Deere! When he wasn't farming, Scott was happy just being at home in his recliner, with his trusty side-kick Petie, and spending time with his three girls and family.
Scott is survived by his wife, Julie, of the home; two daughters, Meghan Everly, Peculiar, MO and Sadie Everly, Archie, MO; his parents, Vernon and Glenda Everly, Peculiar, MO; one sister, Sharal Payne and her husband, James, Raymore, MO; 2 nephews and one niece, Justin Payne, Peculiar, MO, Jeremy Payne and Jessica Payne, both of Raymore, MO: and many friends that he considered family.
