Samuel Lewis Wilson, I, 74 of Adrian, Missouri, went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 23, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian with visitation from 1:00-2:00. Rosary will start at 2:00 with the funeral to follow. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Sam was born January 31, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was one of 9 children born to Orus and Margaret Wilson. Sam married his best friend, Betty Jo Bulen from New Cambria, Missouri, on May 29, 1965. They shared 51 wonderful years of life together as husband and wife.

Sam and Betty have 4 children: Deborah, Donna, Tammy, and Samuel, II. They have 12 grandchildren: Logan Woodward, Ashton Woodward, Dawson Woodward, Haley Kueck, Brook Kueck, Hannah Wilson, Hunter Wilson, Hope Wilson, Tom Janssen, Conor Wilson, Blake Wilson, and Nicole Hickok. Sam and Betty have 1 great grandchild, Jexon Peck. A second great-grandchild to be named Milo Peck is due in March.
