Ryan Charles Humphrey, 31, Kansas City, MO, formerly of Harrisonville, MO died Saturday, November 11, 2017 in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services were held Thursday, November 16 at the United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, MO with burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Art Institute.
Ryan was born October 15, 1986 in Harrisonville, MO. He was a lifelong Harrisonville resident. In the summer of 2004, he was selected to attend the Missouri Fine Arts Academy at Missouri State in Springfield, MO and also served a six-week internship in Los Angeles, CA at Bakers Man Productions.
He was a 2005 graduate of Harrisonville High School, and a 2009 graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute, with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree. He was a production artist and graphic designer for Blue Chip Athletic in North Kansas City, MO.
Ryan was a member of the United Methodist Church in Harrisonville. Ryan was united in marriage to Laura Elizabeth Hay, April 1, 2017 in Kansas City, MO. Ryan and Laura were both tragically killed in a car accident, November 11, 2017 in Kansas City, MO.
He is survived by his mother, Darcy Yeager Humphrey, Harrisonville, a brother, Kyle L. Humphrey, Greenwood, MO; maternal grandparents, Wendell and Barbara Yeager, Harrisonville, and an uncle, Scott and Jana Yeager and two cousins, Reid and Hope Yeager, Sugar Land, TX.
