Ruth Ann (Emery) Cordell, 71, Clinton, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at her home in Clinton.  No services are scheduled at this time.

Ruth Ann was born November 23, 1949 in Iowa City, IA, a daughter of Virgil O. and Darlene M. (Camp) Emery.  She married John Wayne Cordell, Sr. on October 12, 1968 in Lansing, KS.  To this union two children were born, John Wayne Cordell, Jr. and Sheila Cordell. She   had   lived in the Cole/Tightwad, Missouri   area for over 50 years.  Ruth worked at Schreiber Foods in Clinton before her retirement.

Ruth was preceded in death her parents and her husband, John on November 15, 2018.  She is survived by her son, John Wayne Cordell, Jr. and his wife, Misty, Concordia, MO; her daughter, Sheila Rice and her partner, J. M. Harmon, Hickory, NC; two brothers, Virgil Emery, Clinton, MO and Kenny Emery, Kansas City, KS; one sister, Janice Emery, Clinton; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
