Rusty Wade Fisher, 60, Archie, Missouri, died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at his mother's home in Archie.  Funeral services were held Thursday, December 27, 2018  at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Archie, MO, with burial immediately following in the Austin Cemetery.

Rusty was born in the  Harrisonville Hospital, February 11, 1958, the son of Leroy Goodman and Geraldine (Thomas) Fisher.  He was a 1976 graduate of Archie High School and a lifelong Archie resident.  He married Christine Leona Reeves on December 10, 2015 in Butler, MO. They have been together for 28 years.

Rusty worked at numerous jobs during his life.  He worked at the Bendix plant, at Panter ITC as a welder, professional painter, and machinist.  Rusty worked with electrical parts and as a plastic tech.

He was preceded in death by his father.  Rusty is survived by his wife, Christine, of the home; his mother, Geraldine Fisher, Archie, MO; his sons, Joseph Russell Fisher (Valerie), Creighton, MO, and Rusty Fisher Jr., Gladstone, MO; sister Brenda Williams (Steve), Archie, MO; a stepson, James Lee May, Jr. (Stephanie), Independence, MO; three grandchildren, Serina Wimsatt (Damon), Nathanial Fisher and Charlie Fisher; four step grandchildren, Taylor May, Tristyn Richardson, James Lee May III and Tyler Gurley (Angel); two step great-grandchildren, Braxton and Faith Haven; and several nieces and nephews.

Rusty was an avid hunter and fisherman. "Give him just a knife and he could live in the forest forever - that's how he was raised."  Rusty liked spending time with family.  He especially enjoyed birthdays and family dinners.  As a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandpa, Rusty was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
