Rudolph "Rudy" Peter Roth, Jr. 81, Melrose, FL, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Springfield, MO.  Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 22 at Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, MO.

Rudy was born February 14, 1938 in Kansas City, MO, a son of Rudolph and Alta (Wilson) Roth.  He married Doris Marie Foster on August 18, 1956 in Kansas City.  He had lived in Overland Park, KS before moving to Harrisonville in 2016.  He then moved to Florida in 2017.  Rudy was a bookkeeper for a car salvage company in Kansas City, KS.  He was an Eagle Scout and was active in Scout activities.  He loved square dancing and was a member of the Dixie Diamonds Square Dance Club. He also loved camping, the Kansas City Chiefs, and traveling, especially to Las Vegas.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Doris on June 2, 2017.  He is survived by one son, Ron Roth (Gloria) of Florida; one daughter, Sheryl Turley, Harrisonville, MO; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
