Ruby Lucile Allen, 84, of Grandview, Missouri, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services were held at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville on Saturday, April 25, 2026.  Burial in Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO.

Ruby was born on October 11, 1941, in Paris, MO, the daughter of Ruby and Virgie (Fugate) Batsell. She has one brother, Richard Batsell. She was united in marriage to William D. Allen, Jr. on April 1, 1972, in Moberly, MO. They made their home in Harrisonville and Ruby had lived in Harrisonville for over 50 years before moving to Grandview. Ruby had been an active member of the Berea Church of God in Christ in Harrisonville. She had worked as an office clerk for Unity School in Unity Village, MO, before her retirement.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Richard; and her husband, William. She is survived by two nephews: Richard Batsell II and Loren Batsell; sister in-law, Loretta Allen; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
