Roy Lee Street, 70, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery in Harrisonville, Mo.

Roy was born March, 15 1946 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of Elmer David and Betty Lucille (Drehle) Street. He was a 1964 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Roy departed this life on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Crown Care Center, Harrisonville.

Roy started his 30 year law enforcement career in 1986 by earning his way to the position of Captain for Cass County Sheriff's Office. After leaving Cass County he reserved for Bates County Sheriff's Office and finished his career of 17 years of service with the Archie Police Department. He also dedicated 19 years as a welder and later became a leadman in assembly department for Panther Products, retiring in October 2015.

Roy was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Street, a daughter, Shelby ReAnn Street; a brother, Carl Street; sisters, Helen Howell and Joyce Stephens. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Engebretsen and husband, Richard, Hermiston, OR and his son, Jason Street and wife, Katherine, Harrisonville, MO; his mother, Betty Street, Harrisonville, MO; 5 grandchildren, Jonathan, Elijah, Jozlyn, Mackenzie, and Achel; numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends.
