Roxanne Myrtle Helene Boatwright, 65, Adrian, Missouri, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian.

Roxanne was born July 17, 1947 in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Adams) Shedden. She married Rick Boatwright on November 3, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri. Roxanne worked as a grain marketing specialist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 20 years. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Harrisonville and loved her Sunday school class. She was also involved in a Red Hat group.

Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richie Boatwright and two sisters, Marcia Carol and Karen Swartz. She is survived by her husband, Rick of the home; three sons, Del Boatwright and wife, Debbie, Harrisonville, Missouri, Rod Boatwright and wife, Cindy, Adrian, Missouri and Rusty Boatwright and wife, Angela, Archie, Missouri; one sister, Wanda Rudder, John Knox Village, Lee's Summit, Missouri; and 8 grandchildren, Jennifer (Sam), Zack (Katie), Laura, Valerie, Bryan, Alyssa, Nicky, Rose and one on the way.
